MUST SEES TEASE

For sure there is way too much to see and experience in this fascinating Tibetan land, but not everyone has two months to linger, so here are some ideas to mull over while planning your Tibetan experience. Whether you have five days or three months, we can help you plan your itinerary with no strings attached. Knowing a guide is essential in Tibet, both for ease of travel and to meet regulations, we hope you will use one of our experienced, English speaking guides during your journey to this intriguing land. Happy travels!

 SOLO TRAVELERS  GROUPS OF 2-4
There are numerous nice hostels for solo travelers in Tibetan areas, great places to find travel partners. On the other hand, many solo travelers enjoy having an English-speaking guide all to themselves. We can arrange travel by Land Cruiser, bus and train. Whatever your needs, our guides can assist you, whether for a day or a summer. Meet Our Guides
Note: We can help solo travelers join groups.
Simply submit your name and areas of interest via email, to the guide in your destination area. We will keep track and put travelers in touch with one another as a free service to you.
Most tours will be less expensive if you have at least two travelers to share expenses. Three is better and four is cheapest. Larger than four travelers, like a tour bus size group, you will likely wish to contact a major tour company in Lhasa rather than hiring an independent tour guide, but we are here to serve as needed. Email for recommendations of large tour companies for larger bus-size tour groups. It is important to be cautious in selecting a tour agency as they come and go quite often here.

SUGGESTED ITINERARIES DESIGN AN OVERLAND TRIP
Note: The suggested itineraries above can be adjusted to more days to include more sites along the way. In fact, some travelers spend weeks on these routes, seeing everything along the way. In Tibet the sites are only half the fun. Meeting nomads, visiting real Tibetan enclaves and experiencing festivals shouldn't be missed. The above "usual days" are the minimums. We can arrange the tour to suit any desire. We'll suggest the best places! To design your own overland tour simply take out the map, check the attractions and create a route. Our guides can take you to all Tibetan and Chinese cities and a combination of the two might be interesting. Lijiang is near other interesting cities and lakes of interest. Ask our guides for recommendations near your route choice. They know about the little bungalows on the lake front, archery competitions, or the hill peoples, not often visited by tourists.

*Mt.Kailash Kora is the most holy mountain for pilgrim circumambulation. Many pilgrims of all religions come to worship the mountain and to walk around it. It is a very popular trekking route for tourists. More and more people, tourists, spiritual seekers come here to do the Kailash Kora. The kora is 53km long, starting at the town of Darchen just south of the mountain, going up the western valley, then crossing a high pass to the north of the mountain, and down the valley to the east of the mountain all the way back to Darchen. The Mt.Kailash Kora passes the holy Lake Manasarovar. The Kailash Kora can be done from May to middle October.

TAR & TIBETAN REGIONS LISTING
Truth! There are so many name changes and spelling differences that it is really difficult to keep track of place, city and province names, even for us! Pick up a Lonely Planet guide. This truly helps to keep your names straight. The fact is, the the world community would prefer Tibetan places to have Tibetan name places, not Chinese name places. Tourists visit Tibet to become acquainted with Tibetans. However, it is what it is, therefore we have tried to put it together for you within the pages of this websites WITH ALL THE NAMES OF EACH CITY OR PROVINCE, both Tibetan and Chinese, however we know we missed a lot since one city or place may have 3-5 names. Please email us or contact us with any additions or corrections you may run across. Thank you.
